Rotaplast Mission 2017
District 7930 announces its third annual Rotaplast mission to Cebu City, Philippines. The mission will depart on October 8, 2017 from San Francisco International Airport. We are looking for five additional non-medical volunteers to staff the mission. Jiserel,  pictured here, is one of the 114 patients from last year’s mission. You can see the transition happen this way, or before your very eyes. This is a chance to take action to change lives by helping to save smiles.

The positions that are open are Ward Coordination, Photo Journalist, Records Keeper, Pre-op specialist and Quarter Master. Rotaplast will provide training for each position plus there are many mission alumnae in the District that will help you before you leave.

Contact Bob Wood, DGE at bobcwood@verizon.net or 978-518-0752 for more information.

District 7930 gave me the GIFT of the position of ‘Records Keeper’ in the Cebu 2016. A gift because not only was I a vital part in the changing of numerous lives (both directly and indirectly), but was forever changed myself. Tears shed, friendships formed, smiles forever changed.

Marblehead Harbor Presents Paul Harris Fellowship Awards
The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor recently presented Patricia Sullivan and James Nye with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellowship Award. A Top Ten Charity, as ranked by CNBC, the Rotary Foundation seeks to “do good in the world,” through six areas of focus including peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy and economic and community development. The award was established in 1957 to show appreciation for and encourage substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.
