D7930 Membership Mini Grant (Fall 2019)

The Membership Committee is happy to share a fresh opportunity for clubs to host FRIENDraisers to attract new members and present alternative forms of membership. Clubs can apply for up to $200 reimbursement match. Partner with another club and we'll reimburse up to $300!

The purpose of this mini-grant is to encourage the Rotary clubs of District 7930 to develop their orientation process, work on club development, host a "Friendraiser" event to attract new members or to provide support for new members to pursue their Rotary passions.

Please carefully read all of the qualifications, requirements and timelines.

Haverhill Hosts a Young Innovator
The Haverhill Rotary Club is pleased to host speaker Charlie Ruth Castro on Thursday, October 3, at its noon meeting at the Haverhill Country Club.
 
Charlie Ruth is a lawyer, innovator and a Rotarian on a mission. She was one of six Young innovators recognized during Rotary Day at the United Nations last November. Jack Rummel is hosting this speaker, promising that she’s an entertaining speaker with a powerful message.

Marblehead Harbor Spreads the Word at the Farmers' Market
Members of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor spent a recent Saturday morning at the local farmers' market to tell visitors what we do and how much fun we have doing it. The club hopes that spreading the word about 'service above self' will help attract new members. Members engaged with people who approached the Rotary table and invited them to come to a meeting for a free breakfast and a bit of fellowship.
Gloucester Rotary Trivia Night
The Rotary Club of Gloucester will host a Trivia Night on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Gloucester House, located at 63 Rogers Street in downtown Gloucester. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the game will begin at 7 p.m.  Teams of four will compete for the title of Cape Ann Trivia Champions.  
 
In 2019, there will be a special raffle for Early Bird Registrations!
    Register before October 4 and receive 3 chances to win
    Register before October 11 and receive 2 chances to win
    Register before October 18 and receive 1 chance to win
 
All trivia fans are invited to this fun night of knowledge and laughter. The registration fee is $100 for a team of four players.  Proceeds from this event will support programs of the Gloucester Rotary Club.  The night will also feature a 50/50 raffle, a cash bar, and light snacks for purchase.

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.
 
The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
