Update on Hurricane Relief Donations
I am so proud of the great response from our district Rotarians with donations to the relief efforts in Texas, Alabama, and Florida. Thank you for your generosity and for the positive impact your donations will make. The most recent  devastation in Puerto and the Caribbean present another opportunity to assist our neighbors to the south.

Here is the update to the donor advised funds.

In addition, our district clubs are working on new communication channels to funnel more specific support to clubs in Southwest Florida and Puerto Rico.  We will be sharing more information on these specific efforts in the coming weeks.  Thank you for caring, and for making a difference in lives of neighbors who have been badly disrupted by these three hurricanes.

An impact report detailing the contributions from our clubs will be presented. Early indicators are that we will collectively donate over $50,000 and it may even approach $100,000. You are truly Making a Difference!

Marblehead Harbor Sweetens Seniors' Day
Recently, over 20 Rotarians from RCoMH helped deliver ice cream sundaes to over 40 shut-ins in Marblehead. The effort was a collaboration between RCoMH and Marblehead's Council on Aging. The senior citizens who are homebound appreciated the visit from Rotarians and enjoyed an old favorite - the chocolate fudge sundae with whip cream and a cherry on top.
Newburyport Rotary Wins Salvation Army Award
The Newburyport Rotary Club attended the annual Salvation Army's 2017 Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Wednesday, September 27th. A Tennessee BBQ dinner was served by the Salvation Army Advisory Board with a Patriot's football them decor.  Major Todd a Hughes (a Rotarian) gave the award for the "Service Club Most Money Raised." We raised $3,712 via bell ringing and donations. Many Rotarians are members of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. They are Kate Kelly, Nikki Meisenheimer, Peter Doyle and Lyndi Lanphear. Pictured are Kate Kelly, a Todd Hughes, Peter Doyle, Marion Spark, Kate Batchelder and Lyndi Lanphear who attended and helped serve the awards dinner.
