Do You Like to Color?
Perhaps you should join our district Rotoplast mission to the Philippines.  The one remaining position is for a Recreational Therapist.  Don’t let the fancy name intimidate you. It’s one of the best positions on the team.  You are the friendly face our patients see before they go into the operating room. In your own air-conditioned space, you greet the children, give them quilts, toys and play with them--maybe with matchbox cars--maybe with coloring books.

The mission leaves on September 30 and returns on October 14. If you’re ready to experience rotary passion, this could be it. Contact Terry Curan for more information.

If your club would like a presentation on Rotaplast, contact Terry Curan . If your club is ready to financially support this mission, send your checks made payable to Rotaplast to District 7930, c/o David Boudreau, Institution for savings , 68 stores Avenue, Newburyport MA 01950.
What Does Wikipedia Say About Rotary?

Rotary Foundation

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rotary Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarian, educational, and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world.

The Foundation was created in 1917 by Rotary International's sixth president, Arch C. Klumph, as an endowment fund for Rotary "to do good in the world." It has grown from an initial contribution of US$26.50 to more than US$1billion. It has one of the largest and most prestigious international fellowship programs in the world.

Peabody Rotary Awards $12k in Scholarships
Peabody Rotary recently awarded $12,000 in scholarships to several 2018 High School graduates. Financing of these scholarships comes from Peabody Rotary fundraising events such as the Torigian Golf Classic, the Taste of the North Shore and various other events throughout the year.

Pictured are the scholarship recipients with Peabody Rotary Scholarship Committee members Randi Holland, Dan Vassallo, Joe Scurio, Audrey Gordon, Curt Bellavance and Jeff Doherty.  The committee was chaired by Cathy Gravel (not pictured).
Beverly Rocking Rotarians
The Beverly Rocking Rotarians participated in the annual “Reid’s Ride” to support the AYA Alliance to fight cancers striking adolescents and young adults on July 15. The team consisted of Jackie Rapisardi, Captain of the team, Brian Murphy, Matt Blanchard and Stephanie Raby. The bike ride began at Lynnfield High School and went along a 28-mile, route to Stage Fort Park in Gloucester. With the Beverly Rotary Club supporting them, the team raised over $5500. Jackie was the third highest fundraiser, while the team was 6th highest fundraiser!

Thanks to all of our family, friends and club members who supported the team!
Marblehead Rotary Installation Luncheon
Paul Harris Society Chair Bob Gravino recognized Marblehead Rotarians Alexander Falk (Club President), Keith Taylor, Julie Livingston (Club Secretary) and David Deutsch (outgoing Club President) as members of the Paul Harris Society with PHS Chevrons and District 7930 pins at the Club’s July 12th Installation Luncheon at the Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead. The Paul Harris Society is a formal recognition program to honor Rotarians who contribute $1,000 or more annually to The Foundation, allowing Rotary to sustain our impact around the world. It was noted during the presentation that Marblehead Rotary was in a three way tie for District 7930 Clubs having the most PHS members.
