Register for District Learning Assembly, on April 22, from 5 to 9:00 pm at Four Points Sheraton, 1 Audubon Road in Wakefield. Cost $45. Registration link here.

Calling all Presidents-Elect, Club Treasurers, Club Secretaries, Public Image, Membership, and Foundation Chairs -- and all Rotarians!

This Assembly is for all members of your club to learn more about Rotary and the leadership opportunities within your club. The Agenda is 5:00 pm start time. Choose from Club Secretary, Club Treasurer, Club Foundation Chairs, Membership and Assistant Governors ending at 5:45. At 6:00pm a buffet dinner will be served in the main function room. 7:00 pm will be the Grants Qualification Seminar. Then there will be a budget approval for the 2024-2025 year and the budget approval for the 2026-2027 year.

Bill is an attorney who was instrumental in the creation of the US Environmental Protection Agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, the Urban Harbors Institute and Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. Bill serves as the Executive Director of the National Institute for Coastal and Harbor Infrastructure. He is dynamic and not to be missed.

Tickets $10 per person (children 5 and under $5), available at the door. Proceeds to benefit the American Cancer Society.

Ipswich-Rowley Rotarians Battle Growing Food Insecurity

Again this year, Ipswich-Rowley Rotary received strong community support for our annual ‘February Food Drive’. According to Chris Davis, Ipswich-Rowley Rotary food drive organizer, “Our total donation was 1645 pounds of food to benefit ‘The Open Door – Ipswich Community Food Pantry’. We exceeded our expectations and increased this year’s donations by several hundred pounds.”

Julie LaFontaine, Open Door President and CEO, expressed it best. “With the cost-of-living outpacing many budgets, food drives like this one play a critical role in keeping our shelves stocked and our neighbors fed during the winter months. Our hats are off to Ipswich Rowley Rotary for demonstrating what ‘service above self’ looks like in action."
