The Elderact Club of Swampscott and Marblehead made a donation to the Fraffie Welch Scholarship Fund in the amount of $300. Accepting the donation was Rob Deiana, President of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor. Graduating seniors from Marblehead High School can apply for the Fraffie Welch Scholarship. Awards are based on the level of commitment and type of community involvement.
The Rotary Club of Rockport presents Lobsterfest 2017!
August is designated “Ice Bucket Challenge Month” until a cure for A.L.S. is found. Last year’s enormous success was terrific, but further monies are needed for continuing the research into curing this hideous disease. Towards that end, the Wilmington Rotary Club will be holding the third Community Wide Ice Bucket Challenge on Saturday, August 19 at 10:00 AM. The Challenge will be held, rain or shine, at Rotary Park and everyone is welcome to come and join with Rotarians for this Challenge.

The Rotary Club of Gloucester MA will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Saturday, August 19, 2017, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in Stage Fort Park, located on Hough Avenue in Gloucester, MA.

In keeping with a tradition, set as a goal by Marine Veteran and Rotary District 7930 Past District Governor, Dave Manzi, the Rotary Club of Medford makes donations to two Veterans Causes.
It had been several months since the Greater Boston Mobile Food Bank truck made a delivery in Lynn on the first Saturday of the month, but that streak ended last Saturday when Catholic Charities on North Common Street, opened its parking lot and a host of volunteers stepped up to help distribute food to some 300 Lynn citizens. The purpose of this mini-grant is to improve the public image of the Rotary clubs of District 7930. Categories for mini-grant approval are listed in the grant application.
