Our Foundation Needs You Now!
"Our Foundation is the Grease on the Axle to Make the Wheels of Rotary Turn Round"
Dean Rohrs, Trustee of The Rotary Foundation

Annual Fund-SHARE The Annual Fund is the main funding source for Foundation programs. Your gift empowers Rotarians to carry out sustainable service projects in your community and around the world.

At the end of each year, contributions directed to Annual Fund-SHARE from all Rotary clubs in the district are divided between the World Fund and the District Designated Fund.

The Rotary Foundation uses the World Fund to support Rotary’s highest-priority grants and programs, which are available to all Rotary districts.

Our district uses the District Designated Fund to pay for Foundation, club, and district projects the clubs in choose.

Gabriel and Kasey Finally Together!
Marblehead Rotary Service Dog Project is thrilled to announce its latest success in uniting nine-year-old Gabriel Bachour with his specially trained furry friend, who will help him navigate his world. Gabriel is autistic and has special needs that impose extra challenges on his everyday routines. His mom, Angelica Bachour, learned that he could thrive with a service dog. After surmounting many hurdles, heightened by a pandemic year, and with the combined efforts of Marblehead Rotary Club and Chelsea Rotary Club, Gabriel and Kacey are ready to take on their world - or, at least, the fourth grade.

The World Class Service Dogs organization, NEADS, matched Gabriel with Kacey 8 months ago. And just two weeks ago, the two finally completed their training and held an official graduation from the program. Arthur Schwartz, Marblehead Club president, recognizes the financial challenges of bringing a well-trained service pet into a family. “But its enormous benefits to people with disabilities to improve their day-to-day function and secure their safety and well-being is well documented. So for us, it is a compelling decision.”

Reading Sponsors Senior Signs
Reading Rotary with Reading High Senior Class Parents and volunteers planted an array of lawn signs with each graduating Senior’s picture and the message “We Love Our Seniors Reading Memorial High School Class of 2021.”  The signs were arranged in front of the Town Hall and Town Hall Annex facing the Reading Common.  The display is sponsored by Reading Rotary.  The set up was coordinated by Senior parent Mrs. Maria Casarano.  The signs were printed by Boyd’s Direct in Stoneham.

Rotarian Mike Collins, who chaired this project said: “We are so happy to be able to provide these signs for the Seniors who have faced a lot of adversity this year.  It makes it worth our efforts to see so many people enjoying them.”
