The Parkway Club is looking for an individual or individuals to house a graduate student who will be attending Simmons College in the fall. The incoming student is our last year's scholar, Fransisco's sister. She has received funding for tuition but not for housing. Please contact us as soon as possible if you can host her for a month, a couple of months, or the full year.

Successful Lobstah Raffle Scholarship Fundraiser
Marblehead Rotary's annual fundraising and summer favorite, Lobstah Raffle, is a blockbuster hit!  Since 2002, Lobstah Raffle has raised thousands of dollars for scholarships and camperships for Marblehead Youth and Children.  For twenty years, and held every Fourth of July weekend, Lobstah Raffle kiosks located all over downtown have been an iconic presence during our Festival of Arts weekend for returning visitors, locals, and community members!  This week, we have drawn four winners of 20-pound live lobsters. This year has been a record year, with over 25K raised!  Sold-out tickets went for $5 for one ticket or $20 for 5 tickets.

Stoneham Rotary Begins 2022-23 Membership Year
Rotary Club of Stoneham President David Gardner (Boyd’s Direct) recently announced Rotary International’s theme for the 2022-2023 year – Imagine Rotary.

President Gardner notes that the intent of this powerful messaging is for individuals to consider what impact they could have locally and around the globe if they invest their time, talent, and treasure to find ways to provide meaningful service to others who need help.  For Rotary members, that could involve any of the Five Avenues of Service - Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service, International Service, or Youth Service, or it could overlap one or more of these areas.  He also noted that the seven dots surrounding the Rotary circle in the middle of the logo signify the Rotary ‘s Seven Areas of Focus – peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention & treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, economic and community development and supporting the Environment.  These seven areas suggest the areas in which the Five Avenues of Service might find opportunity.
