Environmental Committee Meeting, World Clean-Up Day
The District Environmental Committee is hoping everyone is having a great summer. Due to schedules, we have taken the summer off and are planning to meet again on August 27th at 7 pm. World Clean-Up Day takes place on September 20th. Organize a clean-up with your club in your community and let's make an impact in our district. Please email me with the details of your clean-up and send pictures post-clean up. Let's make this a large clean-up day and an annual event.
 
Gears For Good 2026

Manchester-Essex Rotary Club Announces “Gears For Good” Community Bike Event at Masconomo Park on September 20, 2026.  CLICK HERE TO REGISTER 

The Manchester-Essex Rotary Club is excited to announce the Second Annual Community Bike Event, Gears For Good, on Sunday, September 20 at Masconomo Park in Manchester by the Sea. Designed to promote healthy recreation and community engagement, Gears For Good invites riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy a morning of cycling while supporting the Club’s mission of service.

“Our Rotary Club is thrilled to offer this community event, Gears For Good, for the second year as part of our commitment to 'Service above Self,'” said Club President Ron Parker. “We hope riders of all ages – especially children and families – will discover the fun, freedom and lifelong health benefits that come from riding a bike.”

Participants can choose from three ride options tailored to different ages and experience levels:

Reading Celebrates New Leaders
350On July 21, Reading Rotary held its Club Installation of Officers and Directors.  The Club will be helmed by Co-Presidents Lisa Simmons and Amy Walsh.  Amy is coming off a year of being solo President.  Pictured here are John Douglass, Phil Stewart, Lisa Simmons, Lisa Gibbs, John Feudo, Peter Majane, Margaret O'Sullivan, Tim Kelley, Amy Walsh and Sheila Clarke.  Not pictured is Elena Turco.
 
In addition, the Club awarded scholarships to 4 graduating seniors.  Special thanks to Sheila Clarke for organizing the celebration and opening her home to the event.

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.  Your club's successes and events can give inspiration to other Rotarians.
 
The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
