Do you want to join the 2019 Rotaplast Mission to Cebu?
Things you should know…  The mission departs from San Francisco on September 22 and returns to San Francisco on October 5th.  You must travel with the group on this portion of the trip so that the equipment boxes can be counted as your second piece of luggage. This is done as a group booking through Rotaplast and will cost you approximately $1,000.  You are responsible for your flights to and from San Francisco, you can use airline or credit card points if you have them, the cost is anywhere from $400 to $900 depending on when you book. You are welcome to add time before or after the trip. The hotel is included for double occupancy.  Single rooms run about $650 for the 10 days.  A breakfast buffet is included at the hotel daily, and lunch and snacks are provided at the hospital daily.  There is a hospitality room at the hotel, a contribution of approximately $50 is suggested to provide evening snacks.

Lynn Honors 8th Grade Scholars
An overflow crowd of students, teachers, family members and Lynn Rotarians gathered at Old Tyme Family Cuisine recently to celebrate one of the club’s most popular events: Rotary's Eighth Grade Recognition Program which was started decades ago by longtime Lynn Rotarian Joe Coombs. Mr. Coombs admittedly struggled in middle school until one of his teachers showed him how to get on the right track. Coombs never forgot the help he received so he introduced his idea of recognizing one eighth grade student from each Lynn middle school to receive some recognition. The Lynn Executive Board love Coombs's idea and has run with it ever since. The program runs from January to May.

Marblehead Harbor Will Dip Big Toe for Polio
The Polar Plunge was a huge anti-polio fundraising success, but the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor is taking it one... toe further with the Big Toe Plunge.

In a joint activity with Marblehead's InterAct, intrepid volunteers will dip their big toe at famed Devereux Beach, Saturday, March 23rd, at 10:00am. All District Rotarians are invited to participate and test their mettle against the mean surf of a (hopefully) balmy Spring day. Creative outfits and outlandish toe dipping will be encouraged. An anti-polio fundraiser will take place on location.
