I realize we're halfway through the month already, but I want to address No Mow May as it seems like such a good idea. Just one bullet point from many I've been reading says:

In May, there are many other plants in bloom and the flowers in the lawn will not provide any additional food resources for pollinators. Clover and dandelion flower even with a consistently mowed lawn.

If you want to use No Mow May as an excuse not to mow, go ahead, but to attract pollinators to your garden, plant natives. The recommendation from The Monarch Gardner is "Mow Less Summer". Plant native plants and watch the pollinators thrive.
