The Rotary Club of Andover extends a big thank you to the Rotarians and friends of Rotary who spent their Saturday morning volunteering at the Andover Farmers’ Market! For the third year, Andover Rotary has partnered with the Farmers’ Market to give its dedicated volunteers a well-deserved break on two summer market days. Rotary members step in to fill important staff positions, helping the market operate smoothly while supporting a valuable community resource.
On Saturday, August 22nd, we were pleased to have District 7930 E-Club members Lori Becker and Tara Janosz, along with a friend of Rotary and a Rotarian’s spouse join us. We appreciate everyone who gave their time and represented Rotary through service.
The Andover Farmers’ Market, operated by South Church (UCC) Andover, welcomes approximately 1,400 shoppers each week. The market also helps make fresh, healthy food accessible to the community. Children receive a $3 market gift to purchase fruits and vegetables, while more than 30 SNAP recipients receive matching SNAP dollars each week to purchase healthy food. The Rotary Club of Andover is a proud sponsor of their SNAP program.
We’re delighted to support the Farmers’ Market and its commitment to bringing the community together while increasing access to fresh, nutritious food.
Service Above Self in action!
