The Wilmington Rotary Club held their annual Community Ice Bucket Challenge at Wilmington's Rotary Park on Saturday, August 24. Many brave participants, including 8 Rotarians, had the pleasure of dumping ice water over their heads to raise funds for the Angel Fund of Wakefield. The Angel Fund is an organization committed to finding a cure for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. Through the work of Dr. Robert Brown at the UMass Medical Center, progress has been made but the cure hasn’t yet been achieved, and additional funds are still needed. We continue to raise funds for this worthy cause - donations may be mailed to the Wilmington Rotary Club, P.O. Box 503, Wilmington, MA 01887 or sent via Venmo @Wilmington-RotaryClub.
Thank you and please join us next year!
