Paul Harris Society

The Paul Harris Society recognizes Rotary members and friends of The Rotary Foundation who elect to contribute $1,000 or more each year to any combination of the following: Annual Fund-SHARE, individual Areas of Focus, PolioPlus Fund, as well as Disaster Response Funds and approved global grants.

The purpose of the Paul Harris Society is to honor and thank individuals for their generous, ongoing support of The Rotary Foundation.

    What your giving supports

By giving from your heart each and every year, you’ll support families and change lives. Paul Harris Society gifts have helped provide many local and international grants, including district grants and global grants created by clubs in our district. In addition, this giving helps the major Rotary endeavors, including Polio Eradication, Peace Centers, Malaria prevention, and more.

RYLA 2025 will be May 16th-18th at Camp Rotary in Boxford, MA. We are so excited to connect with this year's rising leaders and have a committed group of returning students to help lead the weekend.

As you begin to think about who you can invite to apply for this life-changing experience, remember that the impact of RYLA extends far beyond the weekend itself. It's an opportunity for young leaders to grow, connect, and inspire one another, and we can't wait to see who will join us this year!

We have volunteers eager to speak about RYLA at your Rotary and Interact Clubs. It's a great way to spread the word and encourage more students to take advantage of this opportunity. Please feel free to reach out to Christina at Christina@PartnerWithChoice.com or call 978.270.6706 to arrange a presentation.

Thank you for your ongoing support in the future of these young leaders. Together, we are making a difference!

Woburn Launches Flags for Heroes Fundraiser
Flags for Heroes is a way to honor people who are your heroes. They may be men and women who are serving or have served as a member of the military, first responders, parents, teachers, coaches, mentors, community leaders, or other heroes.

Sponsor an American flag to honor those who have made a difference in their lives, including military members, first responders, parents, teachers, coaches, mentors and community leaders.  A $75 donation sponsors a flag and supports Woburn Rotary's service projects.

You may sponsor as many heroes as you want, and a flag with the name of your heroes will be flown at Ferullo Field from mid-April to mid-May 2025.

Send checks to Rotary Club of Woburn, PO Box 2304, Woburn, MA 01888.  Please include name of hero to be honored.  For more info contact Bill Sullivan at sully1980@comcast.net

Wakefield Kicks Off Pollinator Garden Project
This past weekend, Wakefield Rotary Club President Wendy Maguire with members Joie Gerrish and Amy Luckiewicz sowed 30 containers of seeds in recycled milk jugs for their upcoming Pollinator Garden project. The Pollinator Garden will be placed in a location in Wakefield as part of the club’s commitment to environmental work.

In 2020, Rotary International added environmental work to it areas of focus. Through the Rotary Foundation and local clubs, Rotarians are committed to supporting activities that strengthen the conservation and protection of natural resources, advance ecological sustainability, and foster harmony between communities and the environment. Rotary empowers communities to access grants and other resources, embrace local solutions, and spur innovation in an effort to address the causes and reduce the effects of climate change and environmental degradation.
