Robert C Wood Memorial Heroes Celebration 2022

Registration is now open & program book ads / sponsorships can be purchased online

Thursday, November 10th will be our annual Rotary Foundation event, but this year we are renaming it the “ROBERT C. WOOD MEMORIAL HEROES CELEBRATION” in honor and memory of our friend, the late Past District Governor Bob Wood (2018-19). This event will be starting at 5:30 PM at the Danversport and we hope that many of you will be attending. The evening will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, and Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) presentations.

Online registration is now open - please click here to purchase your tickets! This page also includes all the details about the dinner menu for the event as well as the program outline.

In addition, we invite all businesses in the district to support the event by taking out an ad in the program book or becoming a sponsor for the event. In addition we now offer the option to purchase a small Well Wisher listing (two lines, text only, approximately 20 words).  Program book ads, sponsorships, and well wisher listings can be purchased online here!

Interact Cafes this Week:  Winchester and Andover

InteractCafe rejuv

Over the next 3 weeks, Interactors, Rotarians and Faculty members around the district are engaging in a series of workshops -  InteractCafes.  There is a saying in business:  Success leaves clues. It means that success isn't accidental, in business, in Rotary, in life.

Visit one of the Cafes — let them know how much they matter to us!  All InteractCafes start at 6 and end at 7:30.
  • Newburyport HS - Oct 19
  • Winchester HS - Oct 26
  • Andover HS - Oct 27
  • Lynnfield HS - Nov 2
  • Marblehead - Nov 3
It's no coincidence that the Interact clubs that participated in the Cafes in 2019 remained strong, vibrant and active through the pandemic.

There is another saying. A house that can withstand a hurricane is indistinguishable from one that can't -- until after the hurricane.  Our Interact houses have been through the toughest hurricane they've faced since the program began in 1962!

Boston Rotaract Is Looking for a Home

During the last few years Boston Rotaract has had many different meeting spaces, though usually we have rented an office space or a conference room. We meet on Monday nights, twice a month, pretty regularly, but without having a meeting space to call our own recently, we have had to meet in restaurants/bars, which of course is loud and has no privacy. We are a small, mighty team as of now, since losing a few members during the pandemic due to students graduating and moving out of Boston, or young professionals shifting jobs and states. While we are back up and running, we are looking for a new meeting space. As an organization that mostly does in-person volunteering, and less fundraising, we don't have too much in the budget to spend on a space.

If you know of anyone who is available to host us, please let District Rotaract Chair, Sarah Furie at sarah.furie@gmail.com, know so we can talk about an arrangement.
