District Conference Just around the Corner

Our 3 District Conference is coming up in 12 days already, on Saturday, April 22^nd, at the Burlington Marriott and we are so excited to share this amazing program with you! This is going to be an event that no Rotarian is going to want to miss.

The full-day conference package includes coffee & snacks, business meeting, award luncheon, afternoon breakout sessions, house of friendship, cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres, and dinner with keynote speaker Evan Burrell and is $199 per person.

NEW: Based on recent feedback and many requests received, we are now also offering two HALF-DAY packages!!!

Lunch-only option w/ half-day conference - $99

Access to the conference for the first half of the day, including coffee & snacks, business meeting, lunch, breakout sessions, house of friendship.

Dinner-only option w/ half-day conference - $109

RYLA Alum Spotlight: Maddie Cass

A Bed for Every Child Service Project

On Saturday May 13, Lynnfield Rotary will host a community service event to build beds for children in need. Rotary clubs and community organizations across the District are welcome to join us. A Team of 4 people and a contribution of $350 is all it takes to register. All the tools and materials are provided. The event is outside at Lynnfield Market Street, 10 am to 12 pm on Saturday May 13. Indiviuals can join an existing team for $50. What’s new in the Learning Center?

Soon after Governor Alexander took office, he challenged the Assistant Governors to take some courses in the Learning Center. Some of us took on the challenge, and this is the result!

Since I had just finished my term as District Governor, but still had paperwork to do, I started with Governor Basics. I found lots of useful information and clarity to the reasons we do things certain ways. From there, I went onto Governor Intermediate and then Advanced courses where I found answers to some of my last questions on my paperwork.

As I now rejoined the Assistant Governor group and this tool was not available when last I was an AG, I decided to start there with AG basics and follow through with the Intermediate and Advanced courses. Again, I found a plethora of information! These are great courses for anyone who thinks they want to be an Assistant Governor before they actually jump into the role.

Rotary Brand Center Webinar

On Wednesday, March 29^th the Public Image Committee hosted an informative webinar on the use of the Rotary Brand Center. The Brand Center is available to all Rotary Clubs and all Rotarians and is your source for graphic materials that comply with the Rotary brand guidelines.

A brand is more than just a logo, but a logo is a big part of our visual identity. When the public sees it throughout their community, they begin to think of Rotary members as people of action. Using the same visual elements unites Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact and allows us, as a diverse global organization, to tell our story with one voice.

We concluded the webinar with a Q&A session, where people could ask the Public Image committee anything! And we did indeed get questions about Zoom backgrounds, etc.

Help Us Fill Symphony Hall for Rotary's New Peace Center

Districts 7930, 7910 and 7780 - Let’s join together with friends, family and community members for peace and make an impact!

Volunteers are needed to plan an exciting event that will celebrate Rotary’s new Peace Center, scheduled to open in 2024 in Istanbul, Turkey. Peace Centers are located at universities across the world – there are seven now and Istanbul will be the eighth. Rotary Peace Centers offer specially designed curricula to train individuals devoted to peacebuilding and conflict resolution. To date, more than 1,500 people have been trained and serve in governments and NGO’s throughout the world.

This project, spearheaded by District 7930’s District Governor Elect Lori Karas, was inspired by a group in Israel who produces musical events. They create a three-part harmony by bringing people together in a large space and dividing them into various parts to sing.
