Your dedication embodies the very spirit of Rotary and reflects the best of who we are.

Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, the Winter Solstice or simply the promise and hope that a New Year brings, I wish you joy, peace, meaning and renewed purpose.  Happy holidays to all and thank you for letting your Rotary light shine so brightly throughout District 7930.

Public Image Webinar: Jan 6
Calling all Rotary members looking to add to your PI skills.  Come to this PI webinar on Websites and Newsletters, January 6, 2026, 7:30 pm EST.

A strong and vibrant Public Image is a key tactic for successful and growing clubs.  Effective Public Image helps expand your reach and artfully tell compelling stories that demonstrate Rotarians as people of action.  It is important to get the word out about the good works of your club to build interest, support and community connections.

Please mark your calendars for this important webinar.
Polio Plus Speakers
Marblehead Club recently had Philip Wilson speak at their club, and his message was truly powerful. As a polio survivor, Philip reminds us why our efforts to raise funds for PolioPlus are still so important. His story brings home the reality that polio is not just a chapter in history—it continues to affect lives today.

I believe it would be incredibly valuable for all of the district clubs to hear from him. His presentation offers both inspiration and a renewed sense of urgency for the work Rotary continues to do.Philip is also collaborating with Carlos Robledo, another Rotarian/polio survivor, to raise awareness throughout the district. Together, they bring a compelling and personal perspective to Rotary’s commitment to ending polio once and for all.

Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution
On Sunday, November 23, 2025, the Rotary Club of Burlington partnered with the UCC Church in Burlington to provide turkey dinners to local families in need. The club helped to transport the turkeys from Wegman's to the church and carry out and load the turkeys/dinners to the recipients' cars. This is a yearly event for our club and coordinated by Rotarian Anna Karwan. We continue to strive to make a difference in our community.
Woburn Presents PHF Award to Mike Parziale
Last week we had our annual Rotary lunch with the senior athletes of Woburn Memorial High School. Our guest speaker was Mike Parziale. Mike was a long-time wrestling coach and mentor of many Woburn wrestlers. He spoke of his wrestling career at Woburn High which was an arc that started with meager beginnings and self-doubt to becoming a very successful wrestler and one of the state's best. In 2005 Mike finished fifth at 157 lbs. at the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association Championships at the United States Naval Academy.

Overall, he concluded his junior season with a 34-8 record to raise his career mark to 81-26 as he ranks second in single season wins in school history and fourth in career victories.

Mike was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow by Rotary Club of Woburn's Foundation Chair and past president Bill Sullivan.  Pictured are Woburn Rotary President Danny Walbourne, Mike Parziale and Bill Sullivan.
