We will celebrate those special people who wake up every morning and put others before themselves, dedicating their lives to helping others in need, truly embodying “Service Above Self”
Clubs will be asked to contribute points for their nominated hero.

Join Rotarians, family and friends on Friday, December 13, 2019 for an evening to remember with the Boston Pops! Enjoy the live concert, a visit from Santa, and a special reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. Your ticket includes a $100 donation to The Rotary Foundation's efforts to END POLIO NOW world-wide which will be matched 2:1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation!

D7930 Interact Cafe
District 7930 is hosting its first ever Interact Cafe--a casual evening designed to help strengthen our Interact clubs and the program as a whole--on Wednesday October 23, 2019, 6-7:30 pm at Winchester High School. This casual cafe style evening will be hosted by Rotarians and Interactors with a world of experience, there to help you connect, network and learn.
 
What topics will be addressed?
How can your Rotary club get an Interact club started.
How can we grow our Interact club.
How can your Interact club do an awesome International Project.
What are other clubs doing for fund-raising?
The evening will end with a sneak peek at our brand new District 7930 RYLA video!

D7930 Public Image Mini Grants for Fall 2019
The D7930 Public Image Committee is pleased to share an opportunity for clubs to increase their Public Image with a D7930 Mini Grant. Clubs can apply for up to $250 reimbursement match. The deadline to submit your application is November 15, 2019. Your project must be completed and all paperwork submitted by January 1, 2020.  Download the application here.

World Polio Day Dinner in Gloucester
World Polio Day Dining Fundraiser

The Gloucester Rotary Club and Castle Manor Inn are taking action on World Polio Day to raise awareness, funds, and support to end polio, a vaccine-preventable disease that still threatens children in parts of the world today.
 
There will be a Dining Fundraiser at the Sea Glass Restaurant at the Castle Manor Inn, located at 141 Essex Avenue (Rt 133) in Gloucester on Thursday, October 24, 2019, from 5pm to 9pm. The Castle Manor Inn will donate 10% of all dining proceeds from this event to the Gloucester Rotary Club’s #EndPolioNow fundraising Campaign. All funds raised at this dinner will be matched 2:1 by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Everett Comics for College Scholarship Comedy Night Fundraiser
Please join the Everett, MA club on Thursday October 24, 2019 for our annual "Comics for College" Comedy Night Fundraiser at Giggles Comedy Club, located inside of Prince House of Pizza, 571 Broadway, Saugus.
 
All proceeds from the event go directly towards our clubs annual grant of 10 - $1,000 college scholarships to deserving Everett seniors. The night will feature 3 comedians, 50/50 raffle and a Basket Raffle. Tickets are $25 pp/$250 per table of 10.

Come enjoy some great laughs and good company as we raise funds to help the next generation of Everett teens go to college and leave their mark on the world!

Come eat pizza and go bowling for a good cause on Tuesday, October 29, at Flatbread Company at Sacco’s Bowl Haven in Somerville! All proceeds will go to funding scholarships for Found in Translation, an organization that trains low-income, multilingual women to become medical interpreters. The cost to fund one Language Access Fellow is $1,000 -- help us fund TWO fellows this year!

Gloucester Rotary Trivia Night
The Rotary Club of Gloucester will host a Trivia Night on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Gloucester House, located at 63 Rogers Street in downtown Gloucester. The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the game will begin at 7 p.m.  Teams of four will compete for the title of Cape Ann Trivia Champions.  
 
In 2019, there will be a special raffle for Early Bird Registrations!
    Register before October 4 and receive 3 chances to win
    Register before October 11 and receive 2 chances to win
    Register before October 18 and receive 1 chance to win
 
All trivia fans are invited to this fun night of knowledge and laughter. The registration fee is $100 for a team of four players.  Proceeds from this event will support programs of the Gloucester Rotary Club.  The night will also feature a 50/50 raffle, a cash bar, and light snacks for purchase.

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.
 
The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
