Thursday, November 14th will be our upcoming ROBERT C. WOOD MEMORIAL HEROES foundation dinner event, named in honor and memory of our friend, the late Past District Governor Bob Wood (2018-19). This event will be starting at 5:30 PM at the Danversport and we hope that many of you will be attending. The evening will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, and Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) presentations.

 

Clubs are invited to participate in the Robert C. Wood Memorial Heroes event by contributing an item to the silent auction, and - most importantly - your club can select a hero from your community to be recognized with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition at the event!

 
Recognizing your hero at the event is a two-step process (filling out an online form to tell us about your hero and filling out a PHF point transfer form and sending it to Rotary headquarters) and all the instructions are available in the Foundation section on the district website by clicking here.

Our featured presenter and facilitator will be Bill Gormont. Bill is a Rotarian from Greece, New York who has presented leadership development and succession planning programs across the world for Rotary.

The hands-on workshop will start with registration and breakfast at 7:45am and will conclude promptly at 1pm. The cost is a low $30 per person so we can get as many of us there as possible to learn and spread this worthy information.  Register here.

 

The Melrose Rotary Club is hosting another of its popular "Left-Right-Center" tournament fundraisers on Friday October 18th! This is the most fun you will have playing a game that takes less than 3 minutes to learn!

 

Tables of 10 are available, but singles and small groups can certainly join in the fun, and you'll make new friends in this fun and only very slightly competitive game. This fall event will be held at the Melrose Knights of Columbus Hall (23 W Foster St Melrose). There is a cash bar, and popcorn, snacks, and other food for sale, and multiple raffles to win. The tournament offers three cash prizes, too!
