2026 Calendar Theme: The Seasons of Cape Ann. In Order to publish a beautiful calendar, the Club is requesting high quality digital photos that reflect the natural beauty of Cape Ann throughout the year. As we will be featuring one photo per month, we need images from each season: winter, spring, summer and fall. Photographs from Gloucester, Rockport, Essex and Manchester will be accepted. Wilmington Rotary and Wilmington High Interact Club held their Polar Plunge for PolioPlus on March 22 at Silver Lake in Wilmington.  For the first time in three years, the weather cooperated, the speeches were kept to a minimum, and all participants and attendees were invited back to Rocco's Restaurant for Pizza following the Plunge.  Click here to see video of the plunge.

We have reached our initial goal of $1,500 and have a few more checks to deposit, however we are still quite shy of our 2023 and 2024 totals.

Thank you to all of our Members, and to Pooja, our District Governor-Elect, who also attended last Saturday's Polar Plunge to support Polio Plus.

Last week we welcomed Leanne Carbone, the chairperson of Woburn Memorial High School Tanner Closet. WMHS Tanner Closet is a free resource to help any WMHS students in need!

Tanner Closet provides:
Non-perishables:  food and snacks.
School supplies: backpacks, binders, folders, pens, pencils, erasers,
calculators, poster board, highlighters, index cards, staplers, correction tape, etc.
Toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash, loofahs/wash.
Gift Cards: Market Basket, Stop & Shop, Family Dollar, and Target.

Rotary Club of Woburn President Bill Balboni presented Leanne with a check to help support this important resource for students in need. 

The Rotary Club of Rockport is proud to support financially the Rockport Farmer’s Market in their initiative to combat food insecurity. The Rockport Farmers Market has made significant strides in supporting low-income families through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). 

In 2024, SNAP customers visited the Rockport Farmers Market 59 times, demonstrating the community's reliance on this essential support. With the help of local businesses and community partners, Rockport Exchange can offer a unique 2:1 match program, an initiative that few farmers markets offer. For every dollar a SNAP customer spends, up to $10, Rockport Exchange will double their funds by providing up to $20 in SNAP matching dollars. This means that if a customer spends $10, they will receive an additional $20, providing a total of $30 to buy healthy food. In 2024 alone, they distributed $1,124 to SNAP shoppers. This match has been possible with additional support from local businesses such as Cape Ann Savings Bank, John Tarr Store, Open Book Systems, Institution for Savings, and the Inns of Rockport. Many community partners, including Rockport Police Department, Chamber of Commerce, First Baptist Church, Rockport Music, and the Town of Rockport Select Board are also integral in the mission to provide support for those with food insecurity.
