Outside the ballroom will be a ongoing interactive exhibits including Youth Exchange students presenting traditional dance, weaving and other activities and RYLA students leading Rotarians through RYLA leadership and bonding activities. We plan to have a couple of InterAct clubs doing interactive service and fundraising projects with the help of Rotarians. Lunch will follow

INTERACT CHARTER FILED FOR STONEHAM INTERACT
The Rotary Club of Stoneham is pleased to announce that the charter has been sent to Rotary International establishing an Interact Club at Stoneham High School. There are 34 charter members and the club has already met three times, elected their leadership team, two additional board members and five committee chairs. At the most recent meeting they discussed their thoughts about their first service project that they hope to plan and complete before the end of this school year. In line with DGE David Manzi's new Homelessness and Hunger Intitiative, they are considering collecting food or organizing an End Hunger New Engalnd program. Either way, they are very excited to deliver service locally and begin to plan their inaugural celebration.
This has been a multi-year effort led by the club and it just goes to show that perseverance does pay off and often multiplies.

UPCOMING GRANTS QUALIFICATION SEMINARS
Do you want to enhance your club experience? Then consider applying for a District Managed Grant or Global Grant. Planning and completing a service project always seems to unite a club and provide a deep level of purpose for your members.
Now is the time for your club to get qualified to apply for grants! In order to receive grants the club president for 2015-2016 and one other member are required to attend either session. If you want to send additional members to really build knowledge of the Rotary Foundation, consider sending more than the required two members.
During this 3 hour seminar, those attending will learn about updates in the application process and the steps necessary to submit and hopefully be awarded a grant from District 7930.
The first seminar will be held at Salem Five Bank located at 210 Essex Street in Salem, MA on April 25, 2015. The second opportunity will be during our District Conference on May 2, 2015 at DoubleTree by Hilton Boston North Shore at 50 Ferncroft Rd, Danvers, MA 01923.

BOSTON ROTARY SEEKING SUPER HUMANS!
Rotary Club of Boston announces first Humanitarian of the Year Award. On Saturday, May 9th, 2015, Rotary Club of Boston #7 invites Greater Boston to join them at the Artists for Humanity Epicenter in South Boston for an evening of food, music and fun as we celebrate and award the 2015 Humanitarian of the Year. This event is expected to be a key fundraiser for Boston #7, and a portion of the evening’s proceeds will be awarded to the charity with which the Humanitarian of the Year award winner is affiliated.
And who will be the lucky winner? That’s up to you. If you are – or know of – someone who is an amazing activist or a tireless crusader for a local charity, send in a nomination today. Nominees from all charitable organizations with ties to the Greater Boston area will be considered and forms are available on the website at www.bostonrotary.org on the Rotary Boston Facebook page. The deadline for nominations is March 15, 2015.
We are also looking for corporate and other sponsors who would like to participate in making this event a successful and memorable one. There are six levels of sponsorship available. MARBLEHEAD INDUCTS NEW MEMBER
The Marblehead Rotary Club is pleased to welcome Charles Milner into its group. Milner was inducted into the club on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at its weekly meeting held at the it winter hide-away, The Landing Restaurant. Rotarian and Sargent-at-Arms Tom McNulty and Marblehead Rotary Club President Tanya DeGenova presided over the induction ceremony.
Charles Milner was raised on Long Island, New York. He graduated from the University of Virginia and earned an MBA at Cornell University. He is a U.S. Army veteran and served one year in Vietnam as a company commander. His professional career was entirely at various units of Citigroup, including Citibank and Travelers. He retired from Citigroup in 2005 as senior vice president and head of the real estate investment group. He currently is a director of a private real estate investment trust.

Rotary District’s Fifth Annual Polar Plunge to eradicate Polio has been postponed again this time until April 11th and it will still be at Long Beach. The District Polar Plunge Committee noted, “ This winter has truly tested all of us. We are hopeful that the logistical challenges of the past will clear up by April 11th and we will plunge in Gloucester." “A NIGHT AT THE RACES" FUNdraiser
The Gloucester Rotary Club invites the public to attend their FUNdraising event – “A Night at the Races” on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Cruiseport Gloucester, located at 6 Rowe’s Wharf in Gloucester. Doors open at 6:30 pm. All proceeds from this event will support local and international programs of the Gloucester Rotary.
A Night at the Races promises to be a fun-filled evening for adults with all the suspense and excitement of being at the racetrack. High quality, video-taped horse races are narrated from start to finish by lively announcers. During the evening there will be complimentary hors d’oeuvre, a cash bar, and variety of raffles. At various points during the evening, betters will be able to use their winnings to bid on merchandise and services that have been donated for the event. For the most fun, reserve a table – bring a group. Tickets are $10 per person and may be purchased at Carroll K. Steele Insurance Agency, BankGloucester, The Weathervane or by contacting any Gloucester Rotarian.
The Gloucester Rotary Club was established in 1923, and has more than 60 members who are leaders in the community. Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self” is the basis of all their good work. RYLA 2015 is well under way!!
RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) will take place at Camp Rotary, Boxford, MA on Friday May 29 through Sunday May 31, 2015. Eighty RYLA students will make up eight families and experience everything from ropes courses to group challenges. Ask any graduating RYLArian, it is a life-changing weekend!
This year, both High School Juniors and Sophomores are invited. Each Rotary Club in our district is allowed to send up to 5 students at $150 each.
