News About IPDG Tom Hankard
Immediate Past District Governor Tom Hankard is currently recovering after an accident that resulted in a significant neck and spinal cord injury.

He underwent spinal surgery at Mass General Hospital earlier this spring and is currently undergoing comprehensive rehabilitation at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Charlestown, where he is expected to be for a total of three months.

Despite the challenges, Tom remains in good spirits and continues to demonstrate his trademark positive attitude throughout his recovery.

Our goal is to make a lasting impact on Chelsea’s youth by funding five $1,500 scholarships for Chelsea Class of 2026 seniors, helping them take the next step toward their college dreams. Additionally, we aim to sponsor 20 children ($1,100 per child) to attend Camp Rotary in Boxford, MA—giving them the chance to experience the outdoors, build friendships, and enjoy summer in a way many inner-city youth never have before.

Tickets are $100 and the dinner is $50.

All proceeds go back to our Chelsea youth. We could not do this without your support!
