Pooja Singla nominated as DG 2025-26
It gives me great pleasure to announce the results of the Nominating Committee, who met on November 2nd, 2022.  After interviewing several candidates, the decision was made to nominate Pooja Singla, past president of Burlington Breakfast Rotary Club, and current Assistant Governor, as the new District Governor for Rotary Year 2025-26.

According to the bylaws of District 7930, if there are no dissensions by December 31, 2022, Pooja will be considered elected by acclimation, and will start her role as DGND (District Governor Nominee Designate) on January 1, 2023.
Robert C Wood Memorial Heroes Celebration 2022

Last Chance to register is Monday, Nov 7!

Thursday, November 10th will be our annual Rotary Foundation event, but this year we are renaming it the “ROBERT C. WOOD MEMORIAL HEROES CELEBRATION” in honor and memory of our friend, the late Past District Governor Bob Wood (2018-19). This event will be starting at 5:30 PM at the Danversport and we hope that many of you will be attending. The evening will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, and Paul Harris Fellow (PHF) presentations.

Online registration is still open this weekend and Monday, November 7 - please click here to purchase your tickets! This page also includes all the details about the dinner menu for the event as well as the program outline.

Program book ads are no longer available, as the deadline for those has already passed - sorry!

Reading Tackles Football Snack Shack
How do you spend your Friday nights this fall?  Reading Rotarians are busy running the Snack Shack for Friday night high school football games at Reading Memorial High School.  Since 2015, Reading Rotary has run the Shack, selling burgers, hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, popcorn, candy and hot and cold drinks to the crowd.

Reading High's Shack Shack had been operated by the Reading Boosters Club but as their numbers dwindled, the Town of Reading asked Rotary to take on its operation.  The Shack provides opportunities as both a public service and a fundraiser.  Running the Shack Shack at such crowded sporting events also allows Rotary to publicize Rotary’s mission to the Town folk.  Rotary has signage and informational literature displayed at each Snack Shack game.

Reading Rotary’s Snack Shack will be open again this Thanksgiving morning for the traditional Reading-Stoneham game.  Pictured here are Co-President John Douglas and Richie Lombardo on the grill at a recent game.
What is a Paul Harris Society Member?
The Paul Harris Society recognizes people who commit to contributing US$1,000 or more each year to the Annual Fund, PolioPlus, or an approved global grant. The society’s purpose is to honor and thank people for their generous and ongoing support of The Rotary Foundation.

Paul Harris Society contributions count toward several different kinds of individual recognition, and members receive a chevron-style pin and a certificate. Members are also listed in the Paul Harris Society Report.

Has your club recently hosted an event or project or are you planning something in the near future that you would like to share with your fellow District 7930 Rotarians?

The weekly eBulletin depends on the content provided by clubs, so please submit your stories and we will publish them on the district website and in the next eBulletin. Stories that showcase your club or event should be submitted via the website portal at this link.

The deadline for submitting items for the weekly District 7930 eBulletin is Friday morning in order to be included in the following Monday's edition.  If the eBulletin being prepared is getting to be too long and the story submitted is not time-sensitive, we may choose to delay including it until the following week.
