A Celebration of Our Heroes - Program Book Ads
Thursday, November 11 will be our annual Rotary Foundation event “A Celebration of Our Heroes” starting at 5:30 PM at the Danversport. The evening will include a social hour, silent auction, dinner, and Paul Harris Fellowship (PHF) presentations.

All Rotary Club have been invited to nominate a hero from their community to present them with a PHF recognition at the event. Candidates could be doctors, nurses, teachers, crossing guards, emergency services personnel, veterans, or anyone else whom the Rotary Club believes to be a community hero. The online nomination form has been sent to Club Presidents earlier this summer, and the nomination deadline is October 11th.

We would also like to ask all Rotary Clubs to start thinking about silent auction items: we would ideally like to see items with a minimum value of $100, so that people will be eager to bid high! All monies raised in the silent auction will directly go to The Rotary Foundation! Details about how to submit the silent auction items will be announced in September.

Program Book Ads can now be purchased

There will be a program book for the event that will contain the photo and bio for each hero as well as ads from event sponsors and local businesses to help reduce the cost of the event and to support our foundation fund-raising efforts. Sponsorship and program book ad details are now available, and we hope that many of you who run businesses in our communities will consider putting in an ad for your business to help support this event. Please click on the Read More button (or see further below, if you are already on the detailed article page) to learn about sponsorship and ad options.

Parkway's School Supply Service Project
The Parkway Rotary Club will be packing and distributing back to school supplies to local elementary students in West Roxbury and Roslindale. The club has partnered with the local food pantry, Rose's Bounty and the Chittick Elementary School to provide kids with things they want, but can't afford -- stickers, cool erasers, key chains, scrunchies. You know, the exciting stuff that makes young kids feel special when they return to school.  Our goal is to not only provide those supplies, but also to draw families into the food pantry to eliminate their food insecurity.

We would be ever so thankful if you were able to donate to the project.
You can send monetary donations to our PO Box 320552, West Roxbury, MA  02132.

Or you can order directly from our Amazon wish list here: tinyurl.com/ParkwayBacktoSchool2021  Make sure to select "add to cart" directly from the list.  If you click on the item first, it will ship to your house and not Rose's Bounty.

The club will be accepting donations until Saturday 9/4.  Thank you for supporting Boston kids in need.
Beverly Rotary's Birthday Celebration Continues
During Beverly Rotary's 100th anniversary celebration year, we are doing activities each month especially connected to our community. August is absolutely no exception.

The Beverly Rotary Club was a part of the Arts Fest event held in downtown Beverly this past weekend. We set up our tent and had a day filled with volunteers from the club to facilitate children painting T-shirts to take home. This is always a happy event but it was extra special this year because the weather cooperated with us and we had a beautiful crowd appreciating what we do! We also distributed ice cream to senior citizens at Homecoming! We love our community!
