Calling all CPAs!
Camp Rotary, established in 1921 is the longest continuously running Rotary project in the world. Camp Rotary is a private, nonprofit, educational, independent, co-ed overnight camp for kids ages 7 - 15. The camp has a rich history dating back to 1921 when it was founded as a service project of the Rotary Club of Lynn. The Camp is owned by the Rotary Club of Lynn, and is managed by a board of independent officers and directors operating as Youth Service Managers, Inc.

The bylaws of YSM require a triennial review of our financial records, and we are looking for a committed CPA to review our financial records (not an audit). We use Quickbooks accounting software, and we would turn over a copy of the Quickbooks file for the review, along with recent treasurers notes, bank statements, etc.

Please contact YSM treasurer Gary Nangle at gpnangle@comcast.net if you would be able to help us with this review. Thank you.

It also acknowledges the grief felt by families and friends remembering those who have died or had a permanent injury as a result of drug overdose.

Chelsea Club Changes Kids Lives
The Chelsea Rotary Club has been sending children to summer camp for 18 years and this summer, 20 Chelsea children got to experience a week at Camp Rotary on Styles Pond in Boxford, MA.

The Chelsea Police Department partnered with the Rotary Club and provided the transportation to and from Camp Rotary as part of their commitment to community service. The Chelsea Rotary Club covers all the expenses including a weekly field trip, cash for the camp store, a backpack full of personal necessities and a group photo.  Children are selected based upon essays they write explaining why they should attend Camp Rotary. Chelsea Rotary Past President Susan Gallant oversees this project.  Camp Rotary is a private, nonprofit, educational, independent overnight camp for kids ages 7 – 15. The camp was founded as a service project of the Lynn Rotary Club in 1921.
June Jubilee in Methuen
In the month of June the Methuen Rotary Club decided to start a new tradition by holding their 1st June Jubilee.

"This past year, I have had the privilege to serve as the President of the Rotary Club of Methuen. When I accepted the position of President, I made it clear to my fellow Rotarians that I wanted our Club to give back to our community. As my service as President comes to a close, we came up with a way to do just that. We decided to hold our 1st Annual Rotary Club of Methuen’s Weekly June Jubilee. Myself and the Board of Directors have decided to donate $1,000.00 a week to Five (5) charities that serve Methuen. The charities chosen represent the issues that are important to our community and to Rotary Club. Each organization was sent a letter and invited to attend a luncheon so they could also speak about their organization. We plan on continuing this every year in June. As of now, the charities were chosen by the Club Members. The non profits chosen were The Clean River Project, Methuen YMCA, Debbie's Treasure Chest, Neighbors In Need, and Methuen Arlington Neighborhood. It has been well received in the community and we already cannot wait until next June to have another fantastic month." --Immediate Past President Jonathan Rossi
Declaration of Independence Reading in Rockport!
The Rockport Rotary Club presented a Reading of the Declaration of Independence at 10AM on July 4th, at Dock Square in Rockport. Members of the club were dressed in period costumes and church bells were ringing to “gather” the towns people. Reverend Matt Wigton read the Declaration of Independence at 10AM. Audience participation was encouraged during the reading. It was a fun event and a great way to start the 4th of July festivities.
