This year’s World Peace & Understanding Dinner will be interactive, and will be led by youth and PeaceJam.  Young people will be working hand-in-hand with Rotarians to develop new projects that can bring peace to our local communities within the context of Rotary's Six Areas of Focus.  Together, we will develop these projects and then go back to our communities and implement them as a team.

We will also be challenged to log ten thousand acts of peace as Rotary District 7930. These will be part of the PeaceJam One Billion Acts of Peace campaign, which has been nominated 8 times for the Nobel Peace Prize.

Ipswich Rotary's Empty Bowl Dinner
The Rotary Club of Ipswich will host the 4th Annual Empty Bowl Dinner on Thursday, February 20, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at the Hellenic Center, 117 County Road, Ipswich.  Proceeds from the event will benefit The Open Door Ipswich Food Pantry, which serves Ipswich, Rowley, Topsfield, Boxford, Hamilton and Wenham. Empty Bowl events are held nationally to generate awareness concerning hunger and to raise money for local hunger-relief programs. The meal is simple; soup, bread and a cookie. Guests select and keep a one of a kind handcrafted bowl of their choice. The bowl goes home as an unspoken reminder that “Somewhere – someone’s bowl is empty.”
