Each challenge focuses on essential public image fundamentals—helping your club create a clear strategy, tell compelling stories, and consistently showcase the good you do in your community.

These step-by-step activities are ideal for Public Image Chairs, committees, and club leaders, and are designed to:

Promote Rotary Ads, Contact Local Media Outlet
Are you familiar with Rotary’s Public Service Announcement (PSA) campaign? These ads showcase who we are, what we do, and invite the public to take action with us. Rotary PSAs are available for U.S. television and radio stations to air – at no cost to us!

Since launching in March 2020, the campaign has reached millions of Americans through TV, radio, and print, generating more than $58 million in donated media value. We’ve recently contacted media outlets nationwide to share our newest PSAs (see attached PDF). This outreach is timed to support vaccine access and disease prevention during World Immunization Week (24-30 April).

You can help keep the momentum going by reaching out directly to TV and radio program directors. They’re often glad to hear from community members and regularly include PSAs in their programming when asked.  A sample outreach letter is included to help you get started.

Have You Joined the PolioPlus Society Yet?
We are in a Challenge to increase our PolioPlus Society (PPS) membership.  More than a dozen districts have joined together during the 2025-26 Rotary year in the PPS Challenge with the goal of ultimately eradicating Polio, once and for all!

PolioPlus Society consists of Rotarians who pledgeo a minimum of $100 per year to the PolioPlus Fund until polio is eradicated from the face of the earth.  To learn more about the PolioPlus Society and find out how easy it is to join, please click here.

The district with the greatest percentage increase of PPS members by June 2026 will win a fancy banner and bragging rights! Better yet we will all know we did our part in saving the lives of children all over the world!  You can help by setting up your annual or monthly recurring Polio donation today.

Each club is asked to plan an activity to raise funds for Polio sometime by March.

Here’s how you can help right now:

2 Sides Project Visits Marblehead
At Marblehead Rotary, we believe that while the shadows of conflict last for generations, the cycle of enmity is not inevitable. We recently hosted the women of the 2 Sides Project, an incredible group connecting American and Vietnamese “Gold Star” children who lost their fathers on opposite sides of the Vietnam War. The nonprofit works with the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) to organize meetings in Vietnam between the two groups and builds Peace Homes for needy families in the places where their fathers died. Their story is a powerful reminder that we can choose connection over grievance, even decades after a conflict ends.
